Aligned with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, it promotes ecosystem restoration, species protection, and community stewardship to ensure biodiversity thrives for generations to come.
Tree Planting & Biodiversity Education
In St. Kitts, an annual National Tree Planting Day is held to promote environmental protection and food security.The Department of Environment launched a tree planting campaign across 13 primary schools and daycare centres, including:
Cayon, Sandy Point, Bronte Welsh, Tucker Clarke, and St. Paul’s Primary Schools.
Fruit trees like mango, soursop, and sugar apple were planted.
